MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY GETS ENGAGED:

From PopCrunch.com-

Wedding bells are ringing for Matthew McConaughey and Bravo personality Camila Alves.

The Lincoln Lawyer actor popped the question to his Brazilian model girlfriend of five years on Christmas Day. He broke the news via Twitter and WhoSay, writing:

“just asked Camila to marry me, merry Christmas.”

Judging by the accompanying snapshot of the happy couple kissing in front of the Christmas tree, we assume she said yes.

Matthew began dating Camila — host of Bravo’s Shear Genius — in 2006.

They have two children together: a son Levi, 3, and a daughter, Vida, who turns two next month.

McConaughey, 42, broke out on the silver screen in the 1993 film Dazed and Confused. He’s starred as a leading man in several romantic comedies over the last decade.

The star was proclaimed the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine in 2005.

MEL GIBSON LOST HALF OF HIS MONEY FOR CHRISTMAS

Yikes.

Mel Gibson is now legally single after his divorce was finalized Friday in a Los Angeles courtroom, but bachelorhood came at a heavy price.

Robyn, his ex-wife of nearly 30 years and the mother of their seven children, is walking away with half his fortune, once estimated to be as high as $850 million (according to the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2006) in what is considered the biggest divorce payout in Hollywood history.
